Services

Twelve jobs, all of them tree work, all of them priced before we start. Below is what each one covers and roughly what it costs in the Austin metro. If your tree does not fit neatly into one of these, send a photo and we will tell you which it is.

The everyday jobs

Tree removal in Austin runs $450 to $2,400 for most residential trees. Tree trimming is $300 to $1,200 depending on canopy size and how much of it needs lifting off the roof. Stump grinding is $120 to $400 a stump, and it is nearly always cheaper booked at the same time as the removal because the machine is already on the trailer.

Land clearing is priced by the acre, $1,800 to $6,500, and the number swings on how thick the cedar is more than anything else.

When it cannot wait

Three of these are the same phone call at different hours. Emergency tree removal is anything touching a structure, a vehicle or a power drop. Storm damage removal is the cleanup after a Central Texas line storm has been through, when half the street is calling at once. Hazardous tree removal is the one you can see coming: a split leader, a lean that got worse, a cavity at the base.

If a limb is on your roof right now, stop reading and send us a photo.

The bigger and more specialised work

Large tree removal covers anything over about 60 feet, where a crane often works out cheaper than two extra days of climbing. Dead tree removal is its own job because dead wood behaves differently under a saw and cannot be climbed safely. Oak wilt treatment matters more here than in most of the country, since Central Texas sits in the middle of the worst of it.

Lot and brush clearing is for builders and anyone about to break ground, and commercial tree service covers HOAs, property managers and anyone who needs a certificate of insurance on file before we turn up.

Where we do all of this

Every service on this page is available across the metro. Prices shift a little by city, mostly because of local permit rules and how far the truck has to drive.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Estimates across Austin and the suburbs are free, and most come back the same day from a photo. We only drive out before quoting when the job is big enough that guessing would be unfair to you, usually anything over about 60 feet or anything with a crane in it.

Do you take the wood away?

Yes, haul-off is included in every removal price on this site unless you ask us to leave it. Plenty of Austin homeowners want the trunk cut into 16-inch rounds for firewood, and that costs nothing extra. Chips from the grinder can stay on site as mulch or go with us, whichever you prefer.

Can you do two jobs on the same visit?

Almost always cheaper if you do. Getting the truck, the chipper and the crew to your address is a fixed cost we only want to pay once. A removal plus stump grinding plus a trim on the tree next door on one visit will beat three separate bookings by a wide margin.

Tell us about the tree

Send a photo and a rough height and you get a written price back, usually the same day. Free estimates across Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown and the rest of the metro.
